Question:
Hi all
I did some mistake when customise enterprise structure. I have 2 company code in the system. when I create personnel sub area for one company code, I forgot to customise that different with other company code.
For example:
Personnel Area Personnel Sub Area Company Code
1100 JBTK 1000
2100 JBTK 2000
2100 JTBK 2000
So, suppose to be when I entry data in sap ( pa 40 , Hiring ) For company code 2000, I choose 2100 for personnel Area and JTBK for personnel sub area, but in the reality I choose 2100 for PA and JBTK for PSA.
That's why when I sort Employee data ( company code :2000) by PSA, all employee list in report ( company code 1000 & 2000 )
I want to delete enterprise structure 2100 with JBTK for PSA. but what's the effect on data. Especially for payroll.
NOte: first, I have to do Org reassignment to change PSA then I can delete enterprise structure. Is that right ?? and is there any relationship with payroll if I delete that? and how about data?
Please help me and give me solution

It's hard to analyze the extent of your problem without more info. I assume you are in Production? Running SAP Payroll? Posting to SAP FI/CO?
As you say, for starters you'd need to run an org reassignment for each employee. You may want to be careful about deleting anything if Payroll has already been run. I wonder if the "bad" company code needs to remain for any retroactive accounting changes. At the very least, you'd want to test this out before deleting anything.
If you already have Payroll results being posted to FI/CO, then you may have more serious problems...if your G/L accounts and cost centers are tied to the bad company code.
