Authorization Group With Printers
Can you please let me know as to how we use authorization groups with printers. We want to allow a only certain group of people to be able to print from a perticular printer.

ok, your solution is to use authorization object S_SPO_DEV (I think that's the name...)
for example, your want to take out printer CHEQ:
use from to: AAAA to CHEP and...
use from to: CHER to ZZZZ
add these authorization to every users. then creat e a profile with just the printer CHEQ and assign it.

Hi Snowy, if you go to SPAD, there is a field called Authorization Group. Any idea how we can use this?
Enter an authorisation group like Restricted or General for each printer you want in the group
e.g.
lp01 - General
lp02 - General
lp03 - Restricted
lp04 - General
When you create your profile use the S_SPO_DEV auth object and put the group name in :
e.g. General
then any user with this profile has access to any printer with the auth grp: General or in this example the user hass access to lp01,lp02 and lp04
