Question:
Hallo,
Does somebody know how to verify a backuptape via brbackup. We have a 46C SAP instance and an oracle db. When schedueling the online backup via db13 you have 2 verify options where the first one is for dbverify of oracle, and the second one is for the archiving part.

Answer:
Hi Ikke,
You can verify the backup looking from operative system. If you have installed SAP in UNIX S.O., go to next path:
/oracle/<SID>/sapbackup
Here you have the logs of online backups and offline backups. You can see the log executing next command:
more <log>
Bye.
Answer:
When using sapdba for backup, there is an option in "a. backup type" to check backup tapes. It's basically a dummy brrestore process without writing the files.
I don't know if there is any way to automate this. An issue is that you have to specify the backup name (e.g. bdjeywod).
