CAT7 - Transfer to CO

Question:
Hi. In standard CATS -> CO transfer, the employee number can be transferred to the CO document. Has anyone tried to transfer the employee last name and first name? Thanks
Answer:
Hi,
that's not very easy. Where do you want to have that name and what for?

Hi.
We want the name in the CO header text field or possibly line item text field. All our legacy CO reports have name in the report
Answer:
Hi,
if I understand you right you want to have it in COBK-BLTXT or COEP-SGTXT? ok, to start with it depends on how you transfer the data with CAT7.
Here are the options you find in IMG:
One CO document is filled per data record
All data records in one CO document
All data records of a personnel number in a CO document
All data records are summarized in one CO document
All data records of a personnel no. summarized in a CO doc.
I think with COBK there is only a chance with the first or the third or the fifth option. Let's talk about the first - one document per data record. This is how that works: You enter time in CATS - this goes to table CATSDB - if there is CO relevant data it goes to CATSCO. When running RCATSTCO (CAT7) you create entries in COBK and COEP (taking the data from CATSCO). The link between CATSCO and COBK is the field CATSCO-BELNR which is the same as COBK-REFBN (in case you do option 1!). So you can either modify RCATSTCO or write your own report that updates COBK regularly.
COEP is much easier as it has the personnel number in the field PERNR. If you want the name in SGTXT you could write a report to update it.
