In order to use the mySAP.com technology as an enterprise portal I have installed a Workplace Server, an ITS/Web Server and using one of our SAP System. Configuration between Workplace Server and ITS/Web Server is complete but the setup between the Workplace Server and the SAP System remains to be done. I have considered and gone through almost all the guides available on the SAP Service website and from else where but could not clearly understand what is exactly required to establish the connectivity between a Workplace and the SAP system. Referring the guides, I have created RFC destinations for this and assigned these to roles(Since these roles are used in Workplace). The target system that is the SAP System has been set as the “Trusted System” while the workplace server is set as “Trusting System” in RFC settings of the Workplace. To my understanding I have to logon into the Workplace through the web browser and access the authorized transactions from R3F through RFC Connection. On logging into Workplace server through web browser, when I click one of the authorized transactions for example an HR transaction PA40, instead of connecting to my SAP System through RFC it gives a message: Cannot start transaction.
Please do help me in this regard and state where I might be wrong or what further configuration is required.

To use the workplace server, all user must have a sap standard sap_workplace role, which allows the user to use RFC connections. Assign this in the workplace server to the workplace system only, and should work ok .
I have done this but the problem is still there
