Question:
Hi,
We would like to limit the authorization of our users in a per personnel action basis. We tried this authorization for user user that can only run Hiring Action:
HR: Master Data
Authorization level: *
Infotype: 0001-0999
Personnel Area: PA1, PA2
Employee Group: EG1-EG3
Employee Subgroup: ESG1-ESG5
Subtype: *
Organizational Key: *
HR: Master Data
Authorization level: *
Infotype: 0000
Personnel Area: PA1, PA2
Employee Group: EG1-EG3
Employee Subgroup: ESG1-ESG5
Subtype: 01
Organizational Key: *
It does limit the authorization to Hiring Action only however upon data entry in IT000 using the correct PA, EG and ESG, it displays error message no PG100 'No authorization for the specified organizational assignment exists.'
Can anyone help me in solving this? Please. Thanks in advance!

Not sure what you want to achieve here..
The straight forward option is, in Hiring Action, select the infotypes that are generic and applicable to all users.
Additional infotype control can be ensured by necessary authorisation through PA30.

Thanks for your reply. I'm trying to limit the authorization of our users per personnel acction. For example, we have User1 and User2 who both have the same UGR. Then we have three personnel actions (01 - Hiring, Z1-Transfer, Z2- Separation). What I want to achieve is to limit User1's access to 01 - Hiring only and User2's access to Z1 and Z2. Is this possible?

It is advisable to differentiate such requirements through customising based on the UGR.

After the message - 'No uthorization for thespeified org..', try to execute SU53. This will help you determine the missing authorizations.
