Question:
Is anyone using Jet Direct 170x with SAP.
If so how do you print? Which access method?
Answer:
I did some further investigation.
We want to configure over 200 dot-matrix priners on SAP. Currently used solution will not work with SAP so we are facing replacement of the whole print server infrastructure.
We want to use U access method do do this. And as I understand it correctly that means that we need Jet Directs that support LPD protocol. Am I right.
The HP 170x jet direct does not support it.
I found Jet direct 250x that does (muc more expensive)
Any information on models of external JetDirects used with access method U would be greatly appreciated

Anybody using D-link Dp-301P+ or Dp-301U for SAP (U or any other method)
