Spool Problem
Hi,
I am facing problem in spool. Our production system throws some spool dumps " SPOOL_I/O_ERROR". ITs detailed description :An I/O error occurred when calling the SAP spool system. This may be
due to an overflow in the spool database.
More detailed description of error: "dbrtab error in SpTSP02Insert "
Can someone help to sort out this issue.

You might have to clear some of the Old spools. I think this is because All the Old spools have still NOT been deleted.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I have already deleted all the spools keeping only of the last 2 days. I had also performed consistency check,and i do it regularly. But still i face the same problem.

Do you receive any Oracle errors? Have you checked free space and no. of extents of the table TST03, TSP01/02?

- Is there currently a deadlock on your system?
- Is the deadlock message at the same time as your spool error?
- Do you have some hanging locks in your system? tr. sm12
- Do you recieve any error messages in your SAP system log?
You could check the structure of your spool tables, to see if something is wrong in the tables. The command "analyze table TSP01/02 validate structure cascade" can tell you this.
Don't execute this command during daily operation, because it will set a complete lock on the table.

How to correct the error
If the spool database has overflowed, you must perform a
reorganization.
You may able to find an interim solution to the problem
in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,
use the following search criteria:
