Is IT1008 cost distribution useful? I understand from the PA
consultant is that this information would not be automatically
defaulted over to IT0001 not IT0027?

yes, IT1018 is useful if you haven't IT0027.
If the EE without IT0027, it will inherit cost center from position's IT1018.
But if EE has IT0027, then it will overwrite IT1018.

When we hire a person in PA, would the IT0001 inherit from the
(a) position's relationship A011 with cost center or
(b) position's IT1018(cost distribution)
Assumption: both A011 and IT1018 are maintained for the position in OM and no IT0027 maintained.
