'Bumping Up' The Termination Date in PA
The client I am working for has requested that the date for the termination action be 'bumped up' one day from the date entered in the effective date on PA40. This is due to end users entering the last working day on the effective date line instead of the first day the employee does not work.
An example:
Joe Smith's last day at work for Company X is January 31, 2006. The end user is entering the termination. They select Joe Smith's number, the termination action and enter January 31, 2006 as the effective date.
When the user hits execute, SAP 'bumps up' the BEGDA of all the infotypes to February 1, 2006.
Is there standard configuration to do this or will it require the modification of a function module?
Try talking to the staff involved and get them to input the correct date. Master data correct input over system change!!! where I work they try and pull the same requests, wanting user exits etc I simply show them the cost of the payroll/hr team inputting data correctly as apposed to user exits, I win 90% of the time. </rant over>

Hi,
There is a setting on T529T in termination action to set the term date to the next day. The field is Date Control (AUSDT). Just enter a value of "1" to that field for all the term actions.
This does not need to be a training issue!!!!
