Question:
Hi,
When I run a year end test I am getting only one error:
T5G35F Tax Reference
I have searched for table T5G35F and can only find it by drilling down into the EOY program. The table says that it is a SAP table that contains constants for XML submission and should only be modified by them. The table appears to have last been changed when we implemented support packages 80 - 85, however, when searching these notes, I can find nothing relating to this table.
Can anyone tell me what this message means, what the table is and if they know when the new 2006 constants will be available?

Presumably, you have not been through the settings to set up e-filing?

Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Payroll Data -> e-Filing - Great Britain
Also, check SAPNet for the Implementation and User Guide on e-Filing for Great Britain (Incoming & Outgoing Processing).

Thanks for your response. We have done all the customising in the e-filing section. When I drill into this table is says that it is a SAP table that can only be customised by them so even if we had missed some customising in the IMG, we still wouldn't be able to change this table.
Any more ideas!?

OK... I think now I understand. You are attempting to run a year-end test for the 2005/6 tax year?
It is not possible to generate an XML for this tax year. Why? Because HMRC have made extensive changes to the business rules for 2005/6. See http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/ebu/paye_techpack/eoy-2006-businessrules-v3.0.pdf

HMRC state that hopefully employers will be able to submit files for testing from March 06.
In the meantime, there is nothing to stop you producing test files for 2004/5 tax year. Also, you could produce ALV outputs of your EoY figures for 2005/6.
The changes to e-filing will be in note 895222. I would expect this note to be delivered in the January HRSP.

Sorry I should have explained better what we were doing.
You are correct, we are trying to run a test for 05/06. Up to now, every month we run the year end report in order to check that the figures balance back to other reports we run. We had errors occassionally but now we just have the one error I mentioned before.
We have only gone live with full gross to net payroll in April this year so testing 04/05 is not possible unfortunately.
As I understand it now, you are saying that as there are loads of changes coming in, SAP will be releasing these changes in January and until now there is no more we can do to test other than checking the figures, but creating the XML file is not possible. Is that correct?
If you don't mind me asking, how do you know that these changes will be released in January and in particular that specific note number?!

You are correct. Creating an XML file will not be possible until January.
The note number was announced at the user group conference a couple of weeks ago.
