Question:
Hi friends
we are currently installing oracle9.2.0 instance on AIX . after preinstallation from SAPGUI it tells us to perform follwoing steps
1. set environment variables
2. go to stage/SAP directory
3. run RUNINSTALLER from there
after performing these steps it tells to run rootpre.sh which we have done.
now it gives error that client cannot connect to server with DISPLAY variable ....
we have set the DISPLAY variable as #setenv DISPLAY <IP Address>:0.0
could anybody guide me for solution.

Hi,
Install dialog instance.
Login to your server as ora<sid> user. start installation as before.
You dont need set display for this.
Works for me.
