SOLMAN 3.1

Question:
I am installing SOLMAN 3.1 on win 2000 advanced server , oracle 9
I had ceated new user variable JAVA_HOME and given path C:\j2sdk1.4.2_07
and in system variables i had defined -- path value as -- %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%JAVA_HOME%\jre\bin\classic;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem
but i am getting error while installing please correct me in the system variable path .

I had added the path in user variable :JAVA_HOME
value : C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_07
and in system variable : path is %SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_07\bin
but still i cant able to run the sapserver.cmd from oracle cd it through me out
but if i use this variables for 4.7 installation it is working fine
please help .

Try running sapserver.cmd from a command prompt instead of double clicking it.

Are you using a JAVA runtime version? .."C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_07 ".. SAP installation document specifies that you use a Java Development Kit.

Do one thing uninstall that java2 run time enviroment (j2re). After this download this setup from sun's website (j2sdk-1_4_2-windows-i586) Install this in your C:\
After this define the variables for JAVA_HOME C:\j2sdk1.4.2
System Path Path : Wbem;C:\j2sdk1.4.2\bin;
try this out and your problem will be solved.
test the same with the command prompt : by typing javac
