Scheduled Background Job

Question:
I want to process an ABAP program in background...but It always schedules the job.
What should I do so it can be active immediately?

You should be able to specify that it runs immediately when you get the scheduling dialog box.

hi friend,
when u schedule a job in background using sm37 and click on "start date" one screen appears where u can specify the options while scheduling the job. on that screen one option is "immediate". when u click that option the job is scheduled in background for immediate execution.
