Dear all,
When you create an information structure say S900 it automatically creates additional table with S900E. Anybody knows what's the purpose of S900E table?

They are Evaluation Structures used for Flexible Analysis.

Thanks, so this explains why it always creates a table with E. This is the standard evaluation structure which SAP creates by default.

Answer:
New Characteristics and Key Figures are defined within the colums of the Info Structure and it's communication structure - refer to the online help for a tutorial on creating new ones.
Remember to create a new structre rather than amend the SAP standard ones (you can get them to update with the standard update or use copy controls to update them if necessary)

I think I figured out how to extend the communication structures. Now What I need to know is how to update these fields. I would like to know what are extended Update rules in MC24( updating) . How do you make use of these rules.
