Standard SAP Reports

Question:
Calling all ABAP Gurus!!!
Is there a way to modify or enhance SAP standard reports. I am asking this because my client is not accepting SAP standard reports either they dont have header information especially in purchasing document reports (Me2l,Me2n)and some reports are not in ALV format(eg; MB5B) or are not available in single line format rather information is populated in different lines or header and when downloaded in excel becomes difficult for the user to align and adjust.
Is there a way out that using the same report I can make use of user exits, enhancements to modify and adjust the reports according to client's requirement rather than developing the same from scratch. Developing from scratch leads to many errors.
Waiting for reply!!!!!!
Answer:
1. Get the client off your back - show them something like abap query or area menus and let them play with those while you do your work.
2. Make copies of the reports you wish to change and modify those (much safer)
3. Depending on your version of SAP assign new reports to transaction code and slip into users favourites or an area menu.
ALWAYS copy and change - you really don't want to modify report layouts...

Answer:
For me2n u can get results in ALV just by chaging the settings.
Go to IMG under Materials Management -> Purchasing ->Reporting -> Maintain Purchasing Lists -> Scope of List -> Define Scope of List.
Select one of the scope of lists, click enter you wíll find a new screen with lots of check boxes. In the last line of screen there is a check box for "Settings for ALV grid control.
Tick the box.
and ur ME2n/me2l/me2m will give results in lav format
Answer:
