FM or OOP
Hi gurus,
We delevelop ALV and there is discussion which method is better
OOP or using FM many customers say that them programmers don't
know to use OOP I am defenetly disagree with the concept but I
want to heard others opinions.

What is OOP ?
Object Oriented Programming (OOP) seems to be the "way of the future" at the moment.
Which way to go from a project or development point of view depends on the strategy of the company involved. If they have no-one able to maintain OO code at present (or limited numbers) then they are not going to want to much development done in OO.
As far as ALV goes, I think it is an ideal starting point for learning and utilising OO code. Especially if the people doing the coding are already comfortable with "classic" ALV.
Whether to change all development over to OO... is not an easy or straight forward decision and one that requires forward planning and discussion from all parties concerned.
