can anyone tell me what;s the diff between report painter and report writer? can anyone provide me with some documentation on report painter and/or report writer?

Answer:
Report Painter is a cut-down version of Report Writer with a graphical user interface.
That is the only real difference.
You do most things the same in Painter and Writer, it's just in writer the interface you are using is not as 'cuddly'.
For good documentation on Report Painter and Report Writer refer to the Reporting Made Easy books from SAP Labs (available on the internet).
