BDC For GR Against PO.

I wanna make bdc for GR agaist PO but problems is that all drum nos are not in serial.
so how can i fill all drum nos in the screen for entering drum nos.
actually i got up to creating all serial nos according to partial information given about drum nos.
i have tried for generating field for serial nos like this and got success.
RIPW0-SERNR(01)
RIPW0-SERNR(02)
RIPW0-SERNR(03)
RIPW0-SERNR(04)
but later i came to know that for approx. 180 drums , i wrote last drum no manually and recording shows field name was RIPW0-SERNR(07)
what was problem with that ?

Unfortunately Our SAP System is down.
However I remember that in the Initial screen there is a button ENTER LINE ITEMS and on selecting this you go to the detailed display of the FIRST ITEM.
After completing for the FIRST ITEM, You can select EDIT -> NEW ITEM and continue upto n items and Finally POST it.
