Isn't it sad, but I just phoned my dentist to find out if he would be staying NHS from 1st April. After reading all the threads on here about everyone going private, I thought I would try to find out.
Anyway...hooooray! They are staying NHS. I don't want to rub it in cos lots of people out there are forced to go private, but as my title says, am I a dying breed? A NHS dentist patient???
Having said that, I wonder what the charges are going to be from April 1st??

Hi davidboy, how did I know this post would be about NHS dentists!? I think if you do a search you will find out some info that has been previously posted on charges in the new system. If you look after your teeth well, you may find that it is not as good news as you currently think as the new system would appear to be biased towards those with neglected mouths.

davidboy i'm very jealous!!!!! ive already changed my dentist and last week this one sent me word that they are too going private so no dentist for me now for a while!!!!!!!!!!!enjoy it while it lasts!!it might be cheaper for me to travel all the way to your dentist than pay for a denplan!!!!!!!!!
