Answers:
Subnet mask is incorrect. Should be set to 255.255.255.0.
Might be worth setting your ip manually rather than picking it up from dhcp off the router.
Some instructions on how to change it here:

Sorry I forgot to add to the above that at the moment I am connected via dialup. and its all the time now that I am unable to access the router settings unless I do a reset, and I have to try many times before I can access the settings.
Thank you again

As said, the subnet range configured on your lan port is only allowing 2 ip hosts which is probably causing your connection problems.
Manually configure your ip address for the lan port to say 192.168.1.10, subnet 255.255.255.0, default gateway 192.168.1.1, DNS Servers 62.41.128.51 & 62.41.128.52.
Then apply and try connecting to your router again.
Answers:
The settings provided by your isp will allow you to manually configure your router and pc, but using that method would allow your pc to be visable on the internet as it would have a public address. This is not really recommended.

Can you run this command again:
Click start, run - type cmd
Type ipconfig /all
And post back the results again. Also while in the command window, please type the following and post back the result:
ping 192.168.1.1

@ work at the min so can't spend too much time on here

If the LAN network is sound then maybe its a NIC driver problem or wrong duplex setting.

Just a thought....

If you ping,
127.0.0.1 -t
do you get any failed pings?
