CARTRIDGE FLUSH

Question:
I wonder if anyone could give me some advice about the bottles of cartridge flush for unblocking clogged printheads and if they really work ?.
my hp printer has the HP 49 cartridge with the printheads built in to the cartridge and sponged compartments which hold the ink.
i wondered if the flush would work with this particular cartridge and if so do you have to leave the cartridge to soak in the solution for a certain amount of time
any advice would be appreciated
many thanks

Answers:
Never used it, but for a start I would try using some isopropyl alcohol on a cotton bud.
Or, since the heads are changed with the cart, change the cart.

these flushes sometimes help.Ive used them to unclog lexmark cartridges but I reckon the head does get damaged too so unless you have used the cartridge less than 3 refills its probably not worth it.
I find methylated spirits works better.
