Question:
Hi,
My boss has been asked to do a "Webinar" from Manchester to be broadcast to people on different machines around Australia. (all on varying connections.)
It has been left to me to work out how to do this.
It would be ideal to have audience participation, but I feel this could cause problems for people who do not have the right software, so I think the best way would be to to do a live video stream which can be accessed from browsers and then viewers could email there questions in during the broadcast.
The stream should then be available for download afterwards too.
Has anyone had any experience for doing a webinar, and do they know the best/cheapest way of going about doing this? Or of any companies in Manchester who will do it?
Thanks
Tom
Answers:
Hi,
Have you checked out webex ? (), we've used it a few times and it seemed OK from the UK to USA.

Thanks for that Keith, just trying to a view a demo with them.
Since posting, the Australians have suggested we use:
although, as we are doing the broadcast, its not much to do with them.
What do you think to elluminate?
Answers:
It looks to be very similar to Webex - never used it, but have used Webex which was generally OK. It allowed sharing of documents/desktops and a panel for feedback and was generally well received.
Not sure of the costs - but I think they do a 'pay per meeting' type deal where if you only want to use it infrequently, you can do this.
HTH,
Keith
