**changes On Webroot Spysweeper**

Question:
I've been involved in some discussion elsewhere on this program not removing the spyware it finds. Well it's offical as Webroot goes about replacing the TRIAL versions they have floating around out there.
From Dan (From Webroot)
The 14-day trial is still available, it's just not the trial version that we're pushing right now. You may have to look for the 14-day trial, but it's there.
We are aware that some don't like the new free scan.
The purpose of the free scan is to allow evaluation of our detection and prevention abilities. Both the detection engine and the shields are fully functional - just removal is disabled. Our advanced removal techniques are part of what sets Spy Sweeper above the rest.
I'm not sure what else to say here. The bottom line is we have a service worth paying for. We’ll stand behind our technology with a guarantee for 30 days, risk free.
-Dan This seems to be the link to the 14-day working trial version...
It's not easy to find and who knows how long they'll leave it up.
The main page download is to the new 'scan and protect but don't fix' version.
So...while you can use this scanner to identify infections it won't remove them anymore. Those of you reading this who use other applications to ID these infections...this program is now worthless and pointless.
Answers:
Don't want this issue getting buried. At least for a few days. Therefore ...bump.
