Question:
After many years of terrible reception on my radio I have decided to get myself a digital radio, the problem I have is I already have a stereo which has a radio/CD/tape so I just want a small portable radio that doesn’t cost too much (under £100) but I’m not to sure what brands are good and what features I should expect as standard in that price range. Any help appreciated.
Answers:
First thing to do is check that you can receive DAB in your area.
Use the postcode checker at the BEEB:
You say you want a portable radio, please be aware that DAB is very heavy on batteries, if you don't need to move it around much get a mains only one.
There are a couple of DAB adapters on the market that can be added to an existing stereo. Currys/Dixons sell them.

Looking for a portable I would wholly recommend the Pure range.
The Evoke 1 is a mains only portable with 6 presets and sounds good, and there are various models and finishes,if you want a battery option there is the Pure Elan, have a look here:
PS Bothare less than £100

Hi
The Bug, made by Pure, just under £100
Got this one in the kitchen, excellent quality and reception, pause live recording, slot for a card, so you can play your mp3's
