Question:
An RW disc can be recorded on sequentially, 1 hour here, then later on record another 1 hour next to the first one. SO you can record series each week on the same disc.
Can the same be done with an R disc? or is the R disc unwritable after it has been used to record a short program? EVen as little as 10 mins recording, does this render the R discs useless (except for watching).
Answers:
If you have not finalised the disc you can write another session on it depending on the dvd recorder.
You may need to finalise DVDs before some players will read them

From what I understand DVD-R or DVD+R can only be recorded onto once but DVD-RW and DVD+RW can be written to then you can keep adding extra files or footage until the disc is full then you can wipe the stuff of the disc you don't want and start again

ANd I forgot to ask what is the difference between 8x & 16x ?
This is not for a computer but for a dvd recorder under the TV.
