Hi bought the above cd rom today game will instal fine but wont play ?
All i get is a black screen whne i load the cd up and goes back to the desk top ? I have installed the latest direct x 9 which was on the disk .
Any one help at all its driving me mad !

Yes meets all those req , anti virus is def off , crazy as i have a game rugby 2001 which only requires active x 7 and this plays ok ?

Check to see if your video card is compatable, I know some games have difficulty playing with certain graphic cards and the usual problem is a black screen when its that.

Go to Start -> Run -> type in dxdiag and OK.
Check your DirectX version on the 'System tab' - should be 9.0c.
Check whether any problems on the 'DirectX Files' tab.
Check whether any problems on the 'Display' tab and that DirectDraw, Direct3D and AGP Texture Accelerations are all enabled.
Run the DirectDraw and Direct 3D tests. Post results.

Have you got highest 32bit? I think most of my new games need this one. Also in advanced, in my graphics card settings there is a troubleshoot, where I can change my Hardware Acceleration, if its up full, you could try and turn it down to see if it helps

no 32 bit only 24 showing and checking in the booklet that comes with the game it needs a 3d accellerated 32mb video card

to be honest it wont make any difference updating the drivers in your case, a new graphics card is what you are requiring now. depending on how much you play games depends on how much you want to spend but you will be able to get a new gfx card for £20 that will play the game, however if you want to play any other new game you may want to spend £50 min on a radion 9800 or an nvidia 6200 as games programmers get lazier, so the spec of the computer required to play the game gets larger.
