Question:
I'm making my first ever website and signed up to a hosting offer on 1&1.co.uk a couple of days ago.
I also have downloaded a free website building program and created a couple of test pages.
I then loaded these pages onto my webspace on 1&1 using an FTP client program.
But the uploaded pages do not appear on the website, only the default page set by 1&1 shows.
I have tried calling the technical support at 1&1.co.uk many times and I have had no luck getting through to them.
They boast so much about their 24/7 phone support and I spent most of last night trying to get through with absolutely no success.
Any ideas why the uploaded webpages are not appearing? Its very annoying as I'm working to a tight deadline on this!

Sorry - meant (the webhosting company is called 1&1). Also I'm not sure looking at that site is of any use.....

Where abouts on the server did you upload the files to i.e which directory/folder.
You would in all probability upload it to httpdocs not httpsdocs

You might need to change the index.htm to index.html or vice versa.
Have you refreshed the screen ?
