Question:
Opinions please.
is £99.99
is £139.98
I realise the Zen has a larger capacity but I haven't heard either of them so have no idea about sound quality etc.
Any tips/advise/drawbacks please?
I need to order one of these shortly and I have no idea which.

I've used Iriver for a good while, although a different model to the one you're thinking about, and I'm delighted with it, no complaints at all.
Go to which is a site for Iriver users and click on 'forums' for info on what users think. The only snag I forsee is that 5 Gb may soon prove to be on the small side, however, it may meet your personal needs and expectations. I've got over 22 Gbs stored on my 40Gb Iriver.

Ive got a zen sleek (has an FM radio and a slightly different look but otherwise is similar to the other Creative models) - which is wonderful. The Creative software is v. easy to use and organise music with. I have a 30GB hd (and have so far used 10%), - I may one day use it all up but it isnt really that necessary as you can load and unload from computer so if you are happy with the Iriver make (and they seem to have a good rep), the smaller and cheaper option may be ok.

I have had a creative zen xtra for a couple of years.....different model, same company. It freezes quite a lot...I need to carry a toothpick around to reboot it!
Afraid I have just given in and bought an Ipod Nano....it is a thing of beauty and Itunes has to be the simplest ever way to transfer music and photos. I found the Creative method cumbersome and my husband never mastered it but he is a bit of a technophobe!

Forgive the stupid question but I need to check something.........a 5 Gb model can hold 2500 songs so this is somewhere around 160 albums given an average of 15 songs per album. Is this right?
(I don't even have 160 albums. )
