Question:
If I buy a camera that can be used with it's own printer, does that mean I can't use it to upload to the PC? I've seen a couple online that I like, but in the descriptions there's no mention a USB socket thingy
Answers:
A digital camera can be used with a pc via a USB or USB2 (quicker) cable. Most cameras come with their own software (CD) and cable. If your pc has a printer then you can manipulate your uploaded images and print them.
If you do not want to use a pc but want to print at home then you should buy a photo printer that does not require a pc. You plug the card (from inside the camera - the old film) into the printer and can do basic manipulation from there.
If you want you can upload to your PC and then send your prints via email to a printing processor who will print for you and send via post to you. Or you can go into Boots (and others) and put your memory card/cd etc into their machine and print from that.
Hope that helps.

Thanks
I've already got a camera, I upload to the PC.
It seems odd that it wasn't mentioned in the description of the ones I want to buy, I just wanted to check that all cameras have the USB thing.
Sorry, I wasn't very clear what I meant in my first post
