Question:
Hi I'm looking into backing up my dvd collection, however have not got a clue on how about making these backups. My current DVD collection is getting runied by my idiot brother just just chucks them about. Therefore I want to make backups of my dvds.
I know you can get software out there such as dvd shrink etc or dvd backup, however as there are so many dvd burners out there I've not got a clue what the pit falls are when buying a burner i.e standards and the process. I want to get a usb burner if possible as I have a laptop.
Whats the best usb burner out there...
Any one out there got any clues??

I have a NEC ND-4550 inside an IcyBox which is something a couple of my friends also have. It has the added bonus of being able to be converted into a harddrive caddy, should we need any extra storage space. I chose the NEC drive over any of the others owing to their always being updated firmware available.
There's no reason why you couldn't put a "LG Super Slim Tripple Format drive" in there instead of the one I have.
