Question:
Hello all. I have an HP435 Digital Camera which was given to me as an xmas gift last year. Last week it wouldn't read the SD card and displayed "card unsupported" on the screen. Tried another card, same message. HP website says if the camera saves to internal memory then camera not at fault. Took SD cards to Jessops - both worked fine in their machine and printed off photos to prove it!
To add insult to injury, I've just got the receipt from my dad, he brought it on 22.11.04 from Comet. Comet say "out of guarantee, even by a few days means I have to pay £60 just to get them to look at it!"
Can anyone help with 1. rectifying or identifying the fault 2. getting comet to relax their hardline attitude?
Answers:
Manufacturer should still be liable, because although out of guarentee, a camera should still last more than 12 months!
