Question:
Anyone else fed up with Digital radio reception. I have a small sony digital radio and i have to change the station nearly everyday to get decent reception, ie move from 88.14 to 88.40. My old 'normal' radio, (given away) never had any such problems.
Also if you walk near the digital radio you get bad interference,I have tried moving it all over the kitchen but to no avail, has anybody got any advice,as i'm seriously thinking of ditching this 'fantastic piece of modern technology' for a old one that works.

I would love a dab radio living in a large town we have yet to even get an announcement that we will get reception. Having said that, I think that teh powers at be aren't doing anywhere near enough to improve and make it available to even the high population areas

Is this a Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) radio that you have or an analogue with a digital display ? The numbers that you mention appear to be the frequency for radio 2 on f.m. (analogue).

I was going to say the same thig as eddie, with a DAB radio you get the station name displayed i.e. BBC Radio 4 etc. not the frequency which is in fact around 225.64 Mhz.

I have a perfect reception on my pure evoke 1xt all the time all over my house. I think it is very dependent on where you live and on the set that you own.

what trouble and strife, the Mrs bought me this (digital) radio for my B/day, ( ungrateful swine that i am), and she got it because i like to listen to the radio and had shown a intreset in digital (hint), anyay she got me this radio thinking that it was digital, and as it turns out it ain't , as steadyeddie said, it's analogue with a digital readout, so apologies to Digital and Sony for my outburst. But it is a bad reception compared to my old Roberts, but the thing is how can i get a new digital radio without upsetting the Mrs, as she is non the wiser, and i don't want to upset her as Xmas is coming.
Should of said can anyone recommend a 'Good' digital radio..

Sorry i have no problems with my dab reception, Swansea has fantastic reception. The best in wales i believe.
