Question:
A Dell that a friend is looking to buy has a 16 x DVD +/- RW + DVD
Could someone please confirm that this means it will play and burn DVD`s of either format ( + & - ) and will also burn CD`S.
I take it that 16 is the speed it will burn at.

As far as I know, you are right - certainly about the DVDs. I'm not aware of DVD writers that don't do CDs too (usually at a higher speed than DVDs).
