Today, with great pleasure, I cancelled my Sky subscription. Escalating costs and terrible programmes have encouraged me to go free view. To this end I am thinking of purchasing the following set top box/recorder. Has anyone any experience of this or other cheap models?

I'm not a fan of Hard drive recorders, in theory they sound good but if they are like PC hard drives (which they are) you always run the risk of Crashes and they are likely to break if bashed, a DVD recorder on the other hand is a little more rugged, and allows you to watch on a friends DVD player. I would suggest the Goodmans Freeview box Model GDB5 as this has DAB digital Radio too, that is not the same as Digital Radio on normal freeview / sky boxes price about £70 Argos.
