Aw, Allexie, I thought I was being a bit OTT, but I meant it - glad to cheer you up a bit anyway. You came up with exactly what I wanted within half an hour - you really are a star!
Things I've thought of to put in crackers are indoor sparklers, and... you remember those fortune tellers you used to make as a kid from folded paper, with colours on the outside and numbers on the inside? I'm going to make them with personalised predictions for my friends - stuff like 'you will have a fun night out with the girls', 'you will have a fantastic 2005' - my mind has gone blank now but you get the idea. This, along with a few baked things, will be the main part of Christmas pressies for my friends and family
