HELP!! I need to find some Spider Spray.

Question:
I have just moved house and now live on a farm. There are so many spiders in there. I've tried to remove all of them with my dyson, but they just keep coming back. I've heard of a spray you can buy that is like a barrier that they just won't cross. Anyone know where I can get this from, or has anyone used it before?
Thanks!

I hate spiders - especially Scottish ones! There big mean stiff necked monsters that'd as soon as eat you as they would a fly. I've seen spiders here bigger than small birds!
So, I too would be grateful for a spider barrier or killer (never mind the 'all God's Creatures' - I want them dead!).
As for flies and moths.... the moths here are bigger than the spiders. They'd the cruncy ones that don't turn to powder, easily an inch long.
I'd like one of those blue lamps they have in kitchens - my own personal zap-o-matic! Anyone know where these are available (nice discreet ones, not industrial ones). I have recently found a new type of fly squatter - it's a tennis raquet with electrified strings (battery powered) that apparently electricutes the bugs as you hit them - which could make for a fun beer fuelled game I guess...if you're inclined to

I saw some of the blue light bug zapper things in B&Q yesterday. I think they were about £20 ish. They look like a small lantern and would sit nicely on top of the fridge maybe.

Many thanks Screeched - Now we just need something similar in the war against arachnids.

All of the England dwelling aracnophobes should be thanking me because all of the big English spiders live under my bed!!
They only show themselves just before bedtime so I cant sleep!
I'm not sure I could get close enough to one to get it with tennis racquet shaped thing - maybe a badminton racquet though??

I got the lantern type thing for the living room for all those scottish flies that come into our house in the summer and no use, so got the tennis racket one where you swat them then fry them - works fine and good fun and does the scottish flying moths too and nasy nasty wasps that will come to us in a matter of weeks

friends of mine had trouble with spiders so they use a plug in thing in every room that sends out a signal that they don't like. They still get a few spiders but not half as many as when they first moved in. I'll try and find out where they got them from.

I have the plug in things and they are specifically for spiders. My pet rats (which are certainly not yuck to me ) don't mind them at all. I checked with the bloke before I bought them and it's different frequencies apparently.
I found them via google and I'm sorry but it was 3 years ago and I can't say what website it was...
The bad thing about them is if you have a lot of stuff in your rooms, it blocks the soundwaves and then the little lovelies get in anyway...

look up 'tegenaria gigantea' on google. this was what was next to me in the shower-i saw it out the corner of my eye and jumped out the bath, got it chucked out the back (its not fair to kill them they cant help being hideous)..then i remembered the only other time i saw one that big (4-5 inches altogether) when we lived in another house. someone put it out that time. i remember saying it was so big it had brains. sure enough it was back next day in same place. after i had this one removed from the shower, half an hr later it was trying to get back in despite being removed to the bottom of the garden. im sure this must be species specific to tegenaria gigantea as any other spider you chuck it out and it !!!!!!s off under a brick or something. not these !!!!!!s, THEY GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL PLACE YOU REMOVED THEM FROM!!!!!!! do the search, youll want to puke!

In America you can get spider traps! I think someone could make a fortune importing them over here. They are like large cockroach traps (cardboard boxes with sticky floors), that you place in the corners of rooms.
In our house, spiders have perfected the art of hiding in bath towels. But only in the towels that you haven't shaken out prior to using. They are also so huge you can sometimes hear them walking on our vinyl flooring!!!
Kittens and puppies are good spider hunters. When they get older they realise spiders don't taste very nice, and they get too bored or slow to bother chasing them.
