After some cheap glasses, looking around £100 for frames and lenses, don't want designer frames but some nice ones, are CostCo any good? Or Vision Express?

If you can get to the Vision Center at the University (former UMIST campus, by Piccadilly Station) and book an appointment with a student (will have to wait till October though) you will get a free appointment (overseen by an qualified optometrist) and 25% off all glasses in their shop.

Yes, I paid £26 for really nice looking pair which included recorded delivery from Hong Kong.

Plumpmouse, my glasses from glassesdirect were £15 which included lenses and £2.5 for p&p, so total £17.50. Like I said I cannot complain, they are fine.
