wanna clean my carpets before I sell my house.
Should I hire a machine, or buy one? If it is more economical to buy which one do you recommend?
This one on Tesco is cheap, but manual and maybe not very good.
Someone at my work mentioned that you can hire one at Morrison’s for £25 a day...

Hi, the Minky doesn't look like it's going to do much. Do you have a Homebase near you? I recently hired their rug doctor machine which was great on my carpets but very, very heavy, I think I paid around £20 for 24 hours, and I got the whole house done! If you're going to buy your own machine i'd go for something like the Vax Pro Carpet Washer.

Rent a rug doctor from your local Band! or Morrisons, wherever they have them.
Will cost in the region of 30 pounds a day including shampoo, makes a great job, and all you do is pull it in stripes across your carpet.
Get there early and I think you can have it overnight.
they do need photo ID to rent it to you, iirc

I got a rugdoctor about 2 weeks ago and it works wonders, dont really wanne buy one as that would be another device that needs storage.
Got ours from our dry cleaners and cost us £25 for 48hours rental, £12.99 for teh soap and I think we have enough for another 4 times and then a returnable deposit of £25. They also needed a driver license or passport and a utility bill from within the last 6 months. Hope this helps,

have just tried rug doctor this was an amazing machine so much stronger than the vax gave profesional finish
carpet now cream again almost bought a new one but after cleaning with the rug doctor its as good as new brill
