Question:
Hi guys,
I'm looking for somewhere that sells prescription swimming goggles at a reasonable price. I know there are plenty of shops that do this, but the price always seems steep and most are unable to do prescription lenses for astigmatism, only for long- or short-sightedness (whereas I have a combination of both short-sightedness and astigmatism).
Does anyone know of a place which will do astigmatic swimming goggles, please?
Many thanks to anyone who can help!

Hello Sweetchuck-Prescription swimming goggles. I should think you will need to do a lot of swimming to need theese. I buy my contact lenses from . I found them much cheeper than the high street-you could give them a ring tomorrow? Best Wishes....

i bought mine from the states from they were about £13 i think, it's brilliant to be able to see at the pool! obviously not a precise prescripotion but a damn sight better than nothing at all

Probably doesn't help you at all but my two short-sighted, astigmatic sons say that one of the best things about wearing contact lenses is being able to wear ordinary swimming goggles and sunglasses!

I also bought my goggles from aquagoggles.com. They were brilliant - took 1 week to arrive, which was quicker than Tesco quoted, and cheaper. You can get different prescription for each eye and choose what colour and tint.
Answers:
Contact lenses aren't an option as my astigmatism is such that daily/weekly disposable lenses are far too expensive to be worthwhile.
I'll check out aquagoggles and see what they can do.
Cheers!

What do you class as too expensive? Only asking as I also have an astigmatism and I have Bausch & Laumb Continuous wear torics for just under £20 per month. You don't have to wear them at night if you don't want to though .
I get them at Asda opticians who incidentally also sell prescription goggles at about £20 per pair. As Bennifred said though they aren't an exact prescription but would be good enough for swimming.

I bougt some speedo prescription googles from:
They were £30something and arrived next day. I am very shortsighted and I was very happy with the goggles on my holidays bodyboarding in Cornwall. I wouldn't bother to add the anti-fog to your basket though.
Answers:
Costco do them
