Okay, so the USA get it in November, Japan at the start of Dec and us the 8th Dec.. I want one before then..
does anyone know anything about if the console is region locked etc ? and if anywhere is letting you pre-order them yet ?

have you tried preordering one at places like gamestation/game etc
trouble with an american one is that their picture quality on tv screens is worse than ours so all those flashy new graphics will look pants on a pal tv, and will look pants and black and white if your tv doesn't support ntsc

still, probably wouldn't make much difference if you do decide to import considering the price difference and the exchange rate (including import tax).
btw afaik none of the big importing sites have it up for preordering yet
