Cheap maternity wear?

Question:
Where are the best places to buy cheap preggie clothes? On-line with discount codes or any shops well known for value?
Thanks in advance

Answers:
Try your local branch of the NCT for their nearly new sales. You are likely to pick up some maternity bargains there.

I bought most of my preggie clothes from Dorothy Perkins and some from George at Asda. Bought about 4 day time tops in different colours, all 3/4 sleeve semi fitted tops. They were only about £7 each. I just accessoried with different neck scarves, beads etc to make them look different. Plus they were really comfy and washed lovely. Hope this helps.

ebay or local newspaper ads if you don't mind second hand clothes.

I got most of mine from H & M. Don't bother with Mothercare, way too expensive and in my case they didn't fit after I got past 7 months .
Blooming Marvelous are quite good for basics and ebay has loads!

i was really shocked at the price of maternity clothes - seems like they rip people off cos they know we need them

i think H&M are q bad for this, q a lot of their maternity clothes are a lot more expensive than the normal stuff

red herring in debenhams do some lovely maternity wear and some of it is quite reasonable
be careful with the trousers tho, some of mine only fit up until i was about 5/6 months

try to borrow from friends, as its heartbreaking spending so much money on stuff u wont wear for long

The best clothes i got were not maternty just normal dresses that are tight under the bust and flow out, got some really nice ones from top shop and jane norman and i can still wear them after ive had the baby. Loads of these type of dresses around at the moment very fashionable style and dont make you look like a hippo!

Thankyou to everyone for the info. I didn't realise Asda did their own range, I always look at the clothes but have never noticed maternity before, so will look out for them now.

Some larger branches of tesco also do great, cheap maternity wear. Am currently getting full use 2nd time round out of a pair of £10 jeans I bought there 2 years ago.

You may want to ask on your local freecycle too if you don't have any recently birthed friends willing to lend/give away?
