Clothes for lounging around at home.

Question:
Come the evening and you're relaxing what do you wear?

I'd like to find some nice looking clothes to relax in, I have a lovely old velour skirt, fitted with side split out of fashion now but still nice and I've been wearing that but I'd really like to find some nice elegant leisure wear, any tips where to find some.
Answers:
Jersey pallazo pants are nice - smarter than jogging trousers but just as comfy so you don't look a complete chav if you wanna pop out lol!
Mine are years old but can be worn with a nice blouse & heels and instantly look smart.
for a nice pair of non-jersey ones (they do diff leg lenghths and a wide selection of sizes for £12)
if I spot some jersey ones I'll come back and edit this post

Sorry needmoney, no suggestions, but thought after 18 views you needed a reply! I'm afraid I don't (can't) do elegant at any time, let alone at home in the evening! Tend to wear what I've been wearing during the day if it isn't dirty, or if I've had an early bath, nightie, and if chilly (like now!) towelling robe and socks!!! Real glamour puss me! Hope someone comes up with a sensible answer soon.
I need not have exposed myself, you got an answer! Oh well that's what happens when you're a two finger typist!

Well as I have work clothes, after have washed / showered I put on what I term my best clothes / going out clothes. so I feel different then.
I don't keep clothes for "best" as such, because if you do you never wear them. These are just the clothes I wear at weekend or at night.

The jersey palazzo pants sound really great, and comfortable too. I'll be a SAHM shortly so I don't want to resort to jogging pants all the time. I won't need to be suited and booted like I am for work but I need a liveable alternative. Thanks mamoaba, good suggestion!

PJs in the winter when its dark mid afternoon & hardly anyone visits unexpectly. PJs dont look much like PJs though so its okay for a short visit from people!
Jeans or joggers & t shirt in summer, so i can do stuff to the garden/allotment & also be dressed if people call
Almost always wear skirts etc for work so never 'off duty'.

Usually, stretchy Per Una jeans (Scope, £5.99) with a fitted T-shirt and cotton cardi. This is generally smart enough to pop out to the shops or down the pub in, and v. comfy. I also have a pair of pink cords (light, soft fabric) which I got in last January's Next Sale, which serve the same purpose.

In summer I generally trade the jeans/cords for loose-fitting cotton trousers.

if im not going out...either in day or evening i slob around in jogging bottoms and t'shirt/jumper dependant on weather.
if i decide i do need to go out i just change, then change back when i get back in.
Answers:
I wear cropped jogger suits and flip flops most of the time, comfy aswell.
I find if your hair and make up is done and you feel clean and nice you can wear anything to slop about in and it will be fine

I've just been to TKMaxx, they had some lovely leisure wear (lonsdale/pineapple etc.) and very reasonable prices. As others have said, comfy enough to lounge in house but decent enough to nip to shop in.
Answers:
i tend to wear a t shirt with loose linen trousers
if its cold i add a hoody or my "granny blanket" as hub calls it if on the sofa lol

I'm afraid I just slob about in joggy bums and a vest top.

I'll sling my jeans on if I'm going out. But I can wear pretty much anything to work, so it's nice to be really slobby!!

I usually go for jeans and a top - jumper if it's winter or something more summery if it's nice weather. Can't go far wrong with jeans, and suitable to be seen out in too.

I've never really worn jeans can't get comfy in them. I'm not worried about being suitable to go out in I mean for more when you know you're having an evening in and just had a nice shower. Sorry didn't explain well in my original post.
