Question:
Hi all.
My gf is planning on starting on the Atkins Diet as advised by her doc and now we’re trying to find cheap supplies… in terms of cereal bars, flour for bread, stuff to cook her own muffins etc, just anything that you can eat and drink while on the AD.
We’re hoping to find online stores/suppliers or anywhere in the Cheltenham/surrounding area.
Appreciate any help…

To be honest when I did the atkins , I found all the atkins things very unapitising and expensive. The best thing is to have a list all all items you can eat and use regular supermarket stuff.
The real thing I had a problem with was the lack of sweet things. I used to eat sugar free jelly made with diet lemonade and a few strawberrys and cream.
The real trick to this diet is preparation e.g planning your meals in advance and having snacks available for when you get peckish.If you don't do this you will crack and devour everything you can lay your hands on.

thanks for that.. think she's got a lot of planning to do this weekend.. she's been on it before and it worked a treat but then she had her mum behind her, now she's attemting it after moving out...

Don't know if you have a home bargains near you but they sell the supplements and have all the books for £1 at the mo! they also sometimes get bits of food in really cheaply so you can stock up
