I need something wonderful to auction/raffle

Question:
I need to raise a lot of money ( £5000.00) for a school in a very short period of time, and am looking for sponsors/donors of something fabulous that I can raffle/auction.
Any ideas??
Answers:
if it's for charity you could try writing to local shops and asking for donations? or contacting people like your MP and asking them to offer a tour of the houses of parliament or something along those lines?
Answers:
Why don't you go for a day of spoiling...lots of smaller donations from local businesses, but one fantastic prize for the lucky winner.

e.g. Night at the poshest hotel in town, dinner at the poshest restaurant, pamper day in the spa, day at the races with some spending money, clothes shopping vouchers, limo hire for the day, case of champagne etc etc etc etc.
Answers:
How about approaching a local football team to see if they can give you some signed items i.e. football top, goalie gloves, Ball, poster etc as they should go down good and raise some money
Answers:
Is there an active PTA? Maybe one of the parents could offer something. The primary school I went to ran a very successful raffle every year. I remember prizes including a pot-bellied pig and a flight in a microlight each provided courtesy of one of the pupils parents.
Answers:
My kid's school held an 'auction of promises' where parents donated services like babysitting, dogwalking, gardening, personal trainer sessions, carpentry, plastering etc and people could bid on them. They raised over £4000.
