Question:
I have an acquaintance from up north who has booked a threatre package here in London, but now the hotel booking has been cancelled. She has saved a lot for this and so wanted to see Judy Dench on stage.
Unfortunately she cannot afford the usual London prices (she has looked and looked), and on top of all this her husband is disabled so she needs to be able to drive to the hotel.
Anyone can recommend a hotel(s) or point her in the right direction? A website will be fine as I can help her look.
Thanks peeps!

My favorite trick in London well just outside is a a PremierTravel inn is next to a train track. after some searching it is the harrow hotel, book by phone and they dont usually tell you about the trains and they have the 100% satisfaction or your money back policy so should you have a bad nights sleep due to the trains that run every 15 minutes untill about 11:30 pm and start again at about 5am you should be entitiled to a refund. the noise isnt too bad if your at the front of the hotel but I am a heavy sleeper so dont have a problem really but I am a light sleeper when I check out.

That's a good one little john, thanks. I can pass this on, but they are not what I would call an assertive old couple, so... still, I will mention your ploy to them.

Travelodge quite often have £10 or £26 offers on some of their outer London hotels like Park Royal and Hangar Lane - both of these are very near the A40 and less than half an hour's drive from the West End
They need to be booked well in advance to get these rates.

there is a Jury's in Islington which is about 65 quid a night which I've heard is quite good

Would recommend travellodge rooms, they need to be booked 21 days in advance to take advantage of the low prices.
