Question:
25 years coming up, and I want to buy the wife a nice ring. Budget is a maegre £500, which I see now is on the low side, but looking around the jewellers, it is difficult to know if you are getting vfm.
Do I go to an independant, or a National chain. Is there a rule of thumb on diamonds?
Any help would be appreciated.
(Going to China next week.....is there any advantage in buying there, or Duty free maybe)

If you live within striking distance of Birmingham then I would recommend the jewellery quarter. Go to for information on retailers, maps etc
