Argos

Question:
Hi all, not sure where this should go, so I won't be surprised if it gets moved. Just wanted some consumer advice.
I went into Argos today and bought some earrings, a set of 3 pairs, heart shapes and they have different coloured stones in.
When I was looking at them after i got home, I noticed that instead of one pair each of clear, pink and blue, I have a blue pair and 2 clear pairs.
I know Argos have their earrings exempt from the 16 day money back thing, but I wanted to know where I stand as a consumer.
I plan to take them back tomorrow to get one pair exchanged for a pair in the right colour, but wondered what I can say in the likely event of them refusing to exchange.
I haven't worn any pairs of the earrings as I can't yet change the ones I'm wearing.
Answers:
so long as you keep your receipt safe you should not have any trouble, as the item supplied is not as described in the catalogue. so long as they have stock (you may wish to reserve a pair, just in case? ) it is simply a case of replacing them for you.
the earrings you return will be 'damaged' off, irrespective of whether you swaer on your life that theyhavent been worn. this is just a simple health and hygiene proceedure.
for future reference, we do have a dedicated argos sub-board on the site. there are several of us argos bods knocking around trying to deal with queries as best we can, so feel free to come say hello sometime
