Question:
We have my wife's engagement ring insured separately from the contents insurance as it is quite valuable (£five fiigures). I currently pay £136 per annum to insure I would like to know if there is as a cheaper may.
The ring has a certified diamond and is checked annually by a jeweller. It could be that this is about the right cost but any advice would help.

That's a lot of cash to spend on a ring, if you had given her a family heirloom in law you would be entitled to it back if you seperated! As a new ring she gets to keep it.
I suggest you check with the British Insurers association to find a specialist broker who can get you the correct deal.

Although I paid quite a lot for the ring a bought it in Dubai which made it a lot cheaper but still valued due to the certificate.
