You could check on the Liverpool FC supporters site which has a ticket sales section in which people who have spare tickets offer them for sale to other forum members for face value. They are only able to sell them for face value and maybe postage costs but no stupid prices.
You may get no luck but it is worth a try

Same position here. In true mse style, I persuaded hubby to give up his West Ham season ticket this year to spend more time with the family. He's had one for the best part of 20 years.
Guess who is in the doghouse now.
He's now considering parting with silly money - more than the cost of the season ticket. So the Here thing has backfired.

there are loads of different criteria required to buy a ticket and they say dont bother if you dont meet any of them.
I have worked at a football club ticket office selling final tickets, you can never satisfy everyone. you give those that have paid money in advanced for the season a chance then those that have been to other cup games then if there are any left they go on open sale. Liverpool havnt even put that as an option so they expect the 24000+ tickets to all be snapped up. see if you qualify for any and have a go. If you have just decided you want to go to the final then hard luck you dont deserve a ticket.
As for the west ham fan who didnt buy a ST this season s**t happens. I just checked and they are allowing Ticketmaster to sell the tickets now when the club I worked for did this ticket master didnt care who they sold them to even though we told them only to sell to season ticket holders none season ticket holders were getting them. I do see that you have to collect them from the ticket office and they may check the details I dont know but it could be worth a try.

That's stupid money for a ticket and if anyone pays it they need their head testing, I would love to go the final but am not going to pay stupid prices just to make a tout more money
